Half way to 'three score years and ten'...

The new school year started with the now traditional flurry of helium filled ballons as we gathered on the new astro turf which was still being worked on for its final touches. The school was looking ship shape with a new coat of paint and refurbished pathways.

7500 miles and I am back where I started... blast!

The shipping option from Istanbul did not come together in time so I started the slightly demoralising return trip by myself, leaving Trabzon on 1st August.

Russians refuse visa at Trabzon

We arrıved ın Trabzon to be greeted by a bıker frıend of a bıker frıend ın Istanbul. Sedat was brıllıant. He met us, took us straıght to a travel agent who ın turn called ın the vısa man to come to us and take the passports and cash. All was fallıng ın to place but to cut a long story short, the next day we were told that we could not get any kınd of vısa for Russıa ın Turkey.
