Two nights on the boat passed quite pleasantly, although I did not speak to anyone. There were not that many people on board and virtuall no one younger than about late 40s.

After two and a half busy days getting the final preparations complete for the trip, and with just 10 minutes to go before the latest sensible departure time from Bristol to easily make the 8pm ferry from Portsmouth, I was still fitting SatNav brackets and loading the luggage.

The term has been long and hard work, yet at the same time it seems to have flown by. Except for the last 2 weeks where to describe myself as limping towards the finish line would be far too generous. More like crawling, depleted in energy, heaving myself forward using only my finger nails.
